Structured Fitness and Health Education for Homeschooled Youth

We've been a homeschool family since 2018, so we know firsthand that ensuring your child gets consistent, high-quality physical education can be a major challenge. You want more than just exercise; you need structure, accountability, and real educational value.

We designed The Fit & Focused Curriculum to solve this problem. This is a complete, expert-led program that blends health education with functional strength training, ensuring your child is healthy, strong, and mentally engaged—all in a structured, weekly 75-minute session.

 

Why This Program Works for Homeschooling Families

       Our program delivers the four core benefits that homeschooling parents need. 

  1. Fulfills P.E. Requirements: Provides documented, structured physical activity and health learning, making it easy to track and report on your child's physical education credits.
  2. Combats Inactivity: Guarantees a powerful, weekly outlet for movement and energy expenditure, essential for focus, knowledge retention and overall well-being.
  3. Educational Value: Every session integrates fundamental health science, anatomy, and/or nutrition (the "Know Your Body" component), turning fitness into a comprehensive learning experience.
  4. Develops Functional Strength: We focus on the foundational movement patterns needed for life—lifting safely, playing sports, and preventing injury.

 

Program Structure: The 20min/55min Split

We leverage a unique structure that maximizes both learning and physical results in every session:

Phase 1: The Learning Block (20 Minutes) — "Know Your Body"

Before they break a sweat, kids participate in a quick, interactive lesson about fitness, health and anatomy. This teaches them the "why" behind every movement and exercise they do, building crucial body literacy.

  • Module Highlights: We cover topics like basic muscle and skeletal anatomy (The Movement Machine), simple nutrition basics and the power of hydration (Fueling Performance), how the heart and lungs work (The Engine Room), the importance of core strength (Posture and Stability), and lifelong habits for injury prevention (The Recovery Plan).

Phase 2: The Movement Block (50min) — "Move with Purpose"

The remaining time is dedicated to fun, functional training designed to build well-rounded athleticism. This isn't random cardio; it’s learning to stay fit for life.

  • Foundational Strength: Kids learn the "key" movements (squat, hinge, push, pull) using bodyweight and resistance training equipment (barbells, dumbbells, cables, rubber bands etc.), to build the strength needed for all sports - and the demands of daily active living.
  • Agility & Coordination: Drills focus on quick footwork, power, balance and fast reaction times—crucial skills for all sports.
  • Endurance & Stamina: Fun, high-intensity conditioning boosts energy levels, helping them keep up on high intensity or prolonged activities.

Phase 3: (5 Min) Cool-Down and Mobility

We conclude every session with dedicated mobility and stretching to optimize recovery and ensure long-term physical health.

  • Mobility & Flexibility: Focused work on dynamic warm-ups and range-of-motion to increase resilience and help prevent common growing pains.

The Fit & Focused Curriculum is more than just P.E.—it's an investment in your child's confidence, focus, and future health. By blending vital health education with functional movement, we ensure that every 60-minute session resolves the physical education challenge while equipping them with the body literacy and functional strength they need for life. Designed by fitness coaches and fellow homeschooling parents, we guarantee a program that fits your fitness and educational priorities.

  • Wednesday, 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM: 7-15 years old (75 min session)
  • Format: In-Person Training Sessions
  • Location: Private Studio in Coventry Hills
